It is in China that the first writings about Koi carp appear around 500 BC... According to Chinese legends, this legendary fish would have gone up the gigantic yellow river to eventually turn into a dragon and fly to the heavens.
This fish, bred in China, Korea and Japan, is a real star in Asia. Koi carp can be red, white, yellow or black, and it is also rather cool with other fish because it is almost exclusively vegetarian!
It evolves in groups and some of them can reach the canonical age of 70
Symbol of longevity and good luck.
It attracts luck and success but also represents energy, strength and perseverance.
"Koi" also refers to love ardour in Japanese.
