Snow lion (Tibetan: གངས་སེང་གེ་ Wylie: gang seng ge) is a legendary animal of Tibet. It embodies the values of courage and joy and symbolizes alertness, one of the four dignities of Shambhala lane and one of the four elements (associated the Earth) with the dragon, Tiger and the garuda.
Snow lion roar includes the great void (sanskrit: Śūnyatā), courage and truth, and because it is synonymous with the Buddhadharma, the teachings of Buddha as freedom of karma or enlightenment.
