The Lotus – one of the 8 auspicious signs of Buddhism
The Lotus represents the possibility for every human being to reach the State of Buddha whatever the living conditions, just like the Lotus flower growing in a muddy pond.

The fact that the Lotus is at the same time flower and fruit symbolizes the simultaneity of the cause and the effect within existence.

The Lotus flower is one of the oldest symbols and aspires to the greatest purity, it is the only aquatic plant that can emerge from the darkness of the vase to flourish and stand out of the water to give a flower of incredible beauty. It is precisely in this impurity that is the depth of brackish waters, that it will draw its elegance and beauty to be finally attracted by the light, at night it closes and darkened beneath the surface of the water, at dawn it comes out and opens again.
Symbol of absolute purity and awakening, the emblem of spiritual elevation, the Lotus has the peculiarity of taking root in the vase or mud, its stem bathed in water while its flower blossoms majestically on the water. Intact in the face of impurity, the Lotus symbolizes the purity of the heart and the spirit.

The Lotus represents the elevation of the soul, first purely materialistic through its roots, then gouting the experience of water through its stem, to finally achieve enlightenment and awakening through its flower.
Tibetan Buddhists see through the Lotus the true nature of beings, the stem being Samsara (cycles of life and death), the flower symbolizing peace and serenity.
The pink Lotus embodies the historic Buddha Sakyamuni.
